Some specialties of OPTEK Manufacturing include small optical windows and filters as shown on this page. We have a very unique manufacturing process for these components which eliminates a few steps ordinarily used to make a similar part. This helps hold costs down and allows a significant quantity to be manufactured while maintaining thickness tolerances closely from part to part. We routinely make optical windows up to 3.0 (inches) diameter but this specialized process is only used for components up to .750 (inches) diameter
Other specialties include single lenses and doublets ranging in sizes up to .650 (inches) diameter as well as small prisms and odd shaped components.
We also offer product development assistance as a specialty , to aid customers in the prototype stage in an effort to develop a cost effective component.

.150 diameter window in a detection device,these parts have a 2 degree wege angle and are .012 (inches) thick on the large side. |

These components are used in a varity of optical instruments, the radii most critical polished to within 2 fringes. |

Grooved rectangle
This part has one polished end and grooves .007 (inches) deep ground and polished. It is used in a telecommunications device. |

These parts have a 30 micron flat surface at the leg end, polished and aluminized. |
